Customer Rating: Summary: Great Master Sword Comment: Ok so I bought this sword because I am a big Zelda fan, not because I collect or use swords. I know that this isn't the greatest sword ever. The paint isn't the best, the details aren't the best, and it over all has some minor flaws. But as a Zelda fan, I love it. It cost 32 dollars for the sword, about 41 with shipping. My Zelda hoodie from Hot Topic cost $48. That being said, yes you get what you pay for, but for Zelda fans it's great. It is a good size and weight. Would look great on the wall!!! Over very happy worth it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good for the price Comment: For a replica that I paid less than $40 for, it's great. I mean, if you're looking for a top-of-the-line replica, this isn't the sword you want to buy, but if you just want something to display on your wall (which is what I'm doing), this is a great buy. It actually came only 4 days after I ordered it, which I thought was fantastic. It came with a rather flimsy black leather sheath, but hey, I can't complain when I paid the amount I did.
The blade does bend a tiny, almost unnoticeable bit when you hold it out horizontally and flat, so this isn't something you want to swing around or anything. It's also pretty easy to mark with fingerprints and things, so you may want to buy something you can polish it with.
Overall, it's good for the price!
Customer Rating: Summary: Not quite what i expected Comment: The sword is really big (long) and looks very cool, but I have a few complaints that are quite substantial. When I opened the box, the blue paint on the arches of the handle was chipped in a few little spots, it appears to be a blue glaze over the actual metal and it doesnt seem very durable, like it could chip with the slightest bump. And to make matters worse, one of the triforce triangles on one of the sides had fallen off during shipping, and i had to glue it back on with Crazy glue, and it seems to be holding on fine now. Also the engraved triforce on the blade is barely noticeable and on one side is half erased. And toward the end there was a big MADE IN PAKISTAN stamped on the blade which i freaked out about too, but I managed to erase it with acetone.
It was definetly of less quality than i expected it to be, after having read all the reviews. But I did pay only $20 for it... so considering that and that it looks cool anyway on display on my wall, I give it 3 stars.
I dont know if this has happened to other people, but I decided to keep it cuz its a special part of a christmas gift and i just dont have time to ask for an exchange and for it to arrive b4 christmas. I also dont wanna go through the trouble and have the posibility of the other new one be the same mediocre quality. If u order it, expect the worse so you wont be bummed out if it comes all beaten up too.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sword review from a sword noob Comment: So, it's nearing halloween, and i've really been wanting to go as link these past few years. but i didnt want some cheap wood sword. So i got me a cheap, real sword >_>
This is the first sword i had ever purchased, so i was basing my decision on finances and the reviews here.
i just received it. so, let's just say i'm happy with it.
it is much larger than i anticipated. having played the games, i bought it just assuming it would maintain the same proportions. it's a pretty long sword.
it also came with a wall plaque, so that was a nice touch.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sweetness Comment: This thing is so cool, I really like it, the sheath leaves a little to be desired but the price difference is probably worth it. It's a lot of fun to play with and I find it also improves the decor.
