Summary: Buyer beware...
Comment: This is my first online review, but I thought it was worth completing. I was never even able to use the Everlast Freestanding Heavy Bag. I started putting it together. The locking washers were impossible to put on, so I didn't even use them which would have probably made the bolts loosen during usage. I then attempted to put the bag together. That was another almost impossible feat. My husband ended up putting the bag together to find out that the ribbed foam was too short to go around the pole. I called Everlast and requested they send me more foam. The first foam arrived and it was the wrong foam. I called again and requested more foam. The second foam arrived and was the correct foam. I cut it and inserted it in the empty spot. I then attempted to screw part of the pole onto the neck. The neck was not completely round, thus, making it impossible to screw the pole on. That is when I finally decided it was going back to the store, partially assembled and partial pieces. I will be returning it tonight, hopefully with no conflict. I am just thankful I tried assembling it BEFORE I filled it with sand! I'm going to try the Wavemaster.

Summary: Work well only if you maintain well
Comment: First of all, you need to fasten your bolts at least once a month. If not, the plastic part will crack.
The reason I gave it only one star is that they provide you only 60 day warranty. And they did not provide me information concerning maintenance.
!!Do not forget fastening bolts constantly. They inevitably become loose as you hit the bag. It will very shortly crack when the bolts are loose and you hit it hard.!!

Comment: i'm 6ft tall and weigh 140 lbs. my parents bought me one of these for my birthday and after a couple of weeks the piece that connects the bag to the base cracked and it was no longer usable. so i returned it from another at the same store where i bought it and the inner foam piece with the knobs was too small to fit around the stand like the instructions said. so again i exchanged it for a third freestanding bag and it broke in the same place with my FIRST kick. For me to get two defective or poor quality pieces and poorly written instructions really got on my nerves. i also have the problem where it slides on my carpet, easy fix but wouldnt be necessary with a soft rubber base. they should reallly, really R&D these things a lot better before selling them and causing me to lose faith in a long standing and supposedly reputable company. everlast isnt getting another dollar from me. enjoy your recession.

Summary: BEWARE! Product Could Break and Injure You!
Comment: I bought one of these. It lasted LESS TIME than it took to assemble it. I hit it a few times and the base cracked apart. Terrible design. I used to own their old design bag and it still works great after many years. I wrote to Everlast CEO complaining about this piece of junk and did not even get a reply. I have been training on boxing bags for 15 years, and used to love Everlast. The company's founder died and it was taken over by his son. Then it was sold, and since then I am very unhappy with products they sell. Spend your money on a CENTURY bag, not this one, is my recommendation.

Comment: I purchased this as a Christmas present for my grandson, we had a very hard time assembling it (it took days), the neck did not fit into the base. When we finally got it assembled, my grandson puched it a few times and it snapped in half, what a waste of time and money.
