The ballbearing system give you better motion range and control, the smooth uncoated black material and the dragons printed on it gives an elegant look to your training and demostrations. I used this type at a seminar and the ball bearing is easier to use than the ones with rope. The rope doesn't allow for a good range of motion like the ball bearing. These are good for beginers to use and to also practice Katas with.
