Summary: An awesome weapon!
Comment: I bought this sword in 2004, and although I didn't pay much attention to training with it until now, I admit I am amazed by the quality of this bokuto (wooden sword). The sword is finely balanced, expertly carved, and extremely durable. The weight actually gives your arms a workout, and makes it feel as if the sword is an extension of your own arm, which is how it is supposed to be. It may seem a bit heavy and too long at first, but you'll get used to it. It becomes lighter and more maneuverable each time you practice with it. I usually practice with it an hour, from 8:00-9:00pm. And I just got done with tonight's practice a little while ago. This sword can be dangerous, though. There was a famous samurai in Japan named Miyamoto Musashi who used only wooden swords in his fights, while his opponents used the katana. He won each and every single match with them. Be aware that the bokuto can seriously injure or even kill a person, not to mention damage property (which I learned the hard way). After about a week of using it, you will start to develop your speed and maneuverability with the sword. Practice hard for as long as you feel is necessary. Overall, I give this weapon five stars! I recommend it to all who wish to become serious martial artists or expert swordsmen.

Summary: This is cool!
Comment: This is a sweet sword, dont practice hitting things with it, because it might easily break, IT IS MEANT TO PRACTICE THE DIFFERENT SAMURAI MOTIONS, not to hit your little brother with, though the handguard may be missing, it looks better without it, I really like the sword, considering I used it for what it is made for PRACTICING.

Summary: It broke.
Comment: You have to expect practice swords to break. They do that. But when you buy two swords and one of them breaks five minutes after you bought it, you know something is up. Also, the balance was off and the handguard was missing . . . Don't let the cheap price fool you; you get what you pay for.
