Customer Rating: Summary: OK for sparring, tough for technique practice Comment: The design of this piece is flawed in my opinion. It gives ok all around protection for sparring, but is difficult to use with forceful technique practice (which is why I purchased it).
The solar plexus area does not spread impact out well enough, and it simply transfers the force directly though on that section with very little spread of the force of impact.
It adjusts well and is pretty tough though. The foam is hard, and absorbs little, but soft enough to keep the striker from pain.
